Collection of Political and social activist movements, 1968-1975.

This collection contains materials collected by Geoffrey Bauman, who was an activist during the 1970s. The materials relate to the organizations that were involved in progressive movements such as the Communist Party, the Gulf Action Project, the Peace and Freedom Center, the Revolutionary Socialist Union, Students for a Democratic Society, and the United Farm Workers. The organizations were located both in Pittsburgh and other areas of the United States including Washington, D.C. The materials include flyers that were distributed for events such as anti-war protests, the freeing of Angela Davis, and abortion. Other materials include brochures about the organizations, newsletters that they distributed and publications from local and national groups. The collection is arranged by series into folders of local and non-local organizations and publications.
